South Paris storms of End of July 2006.

Dear Guys,

Back a bit in the past; I’d like to share the pictures I took a while ago. These are the first storm pics made with my EOS 350D. We had this 27 of July such a thunderstorm that was unbelievable. Unfortunately my flat’s balcony is oriented to the North, and the rain was coming from there, so I couldn’t leave the camera out during the worst of the storm. So the pics taken here are while the storm is approaching and later on leaving.

The storm past right above our heads, we were just under it, and we witnessed several less than 100 meters strikes. Very impressive! So the first shots you see are straight from the camera, I just adjusted brightness and contrast to reveal all ramifications of the lightning. Enjoy the pics.

I wanted to play a bit with these shots so i allowed myself for a bit of fun and mixed them in two heavily retouched shots. What do you think ???

That one was the thundestorm of the year in Paris. I almost wanted to drive there to catch some pictures of lightnings with the Eiffel Tower as a foreground. Nice pictures Krys. The last one shows perfectly how strong was this tremendous episode in your area.
